Kirkcudbright Site Investigations

We are developing plans for a potential flood alleviation project for Kirkcudbright to safely divert excess rainwater away from homes and businesses during periods of extreme weather.

To see whether the proposal is both feasible and affordable we will need to carry out some site investigations, checking ground conditions and the presence of other utilities and services.

To be able to carry out the work safely Beaconsfield Place will be reduced to one way traffic from Monday 17 March 2025 for approximately two weeks. There will be no access from Bridge Street, traffic must enter from St Cuthbert Street.

Any areas where excavations are required will be fenced off for safety and reinstated once the work is completed.
